hummm, not the best picture in the world i must say..

i guess this shows it off better. a christmaspressie for my mum..she has only one hat and it's black..i hope it fits her..if not..i'll make another one for later! she's getting two hats anyway..so hopefully she'l be happy. ups..i hope she's not in for a view..never know with her;)

the braided bit took foreeeever...but it does look nice!i do love how cables look! and will get on with my cable-afghan! aaaafter xmas that is:)

this is the day we have all been waiting for! 1 of December..and this is the first pressie! before it was opened, this is how it looked! guess who's holiding it? yes, correct, the princess aged 4 1/2.. can i help you open it mummy? yes sure you can sweetie:)

a big christmas stocking, i don't have one, so that was so great! thank you thank you Henrikke! i love it..(and so does the princess) need to find a good place to put it though..can't have it hanging on the cd rack can i?

november knits

Good morning everyone, the sun is shining outside, you'd think it's summer..except for the fact that it's freezing cold out there. i am showing you my "vibette" blanket, it's kind of like the Babette one..although i have named it after a lady at Hobbyboden, Vibbedille. this is how much i have done..it's going to be a king size bedspread, to replace my orange elephant one during the wintertime...yes, i like to keep the bedroom cold, but i don't like to BE cold.

and this is the finished smetteskjerf for my step-niece Nora, she'll be one just after Christmas. Baby Born doll Alisabet is so nice agreeing to model for me:)

last but not least...christmas present for my dad, i think it's called ~Fisherman cap...and i found the pattern on ravelry somewhere. nice and easy to knit. and of course, King Cole Mirage:)

oh, there's one thing i have forgotten to tell you..at Hobbyboden, we are exchanging Advent calendars...my swap partner is Henrikke, and she has sent me an enourmous parcel...and i can't wait for dec. 1st..so i can open my first pressie! i will try to be good and blog eveyday with a picture of that day's pressie!

tomorrow, will not have much time for any knitting or crocheting..first in the morning we'll be going to the Christmas fair at the local school, then it's time to go shopping, and later in the evening i'l be at my pal Lynne's birthdayparty. this is going to be a great weekend!

Good Evening everyone! how are you all doing? i have been very busy knitting away! i have finished another christmas present, for my uncle this time, this is another Jacques Costeau hat, by Typy..and this one i have once again used King Cole Mirage. I love this colour here, and i do hope he'll be happy with it!! I can't believe we are this close th Christmas, my princess is asking me if we are to get the crhistmas stuff out yet..but i do think we need to wait a week or so..well, the plan is to decorate on dec 1st.

I have also finally finished the Baktus scarf that i started ages ago. i have used some sockwool that i got from my secret pal at Hobbyboden..i don't even remember who it was..it's a few months ago now...

I am kind of bored with my knitting these days...it's so slow, well..i don't know what. i guess i am getting a bit bored with knitting hats...especially hats for other people!!well, after christmas it'll be other stuff on my needles indeed!

well, i'd better stop my rambling for today, and it's time to make the dinner anyway...chicken in the wok with peppers, pineapple and dessicated coconut coming up!

thoughts

Good morning everyone,
i thought i had no photos to show you, until i remembered the christmas pressie i finished last week. it's a hat..jacques costeau i think it's called by typy.... i have done it a bit different, and am making another one to try to do it the correct way.

but i have had some thoughts lately...i know it's christmas and i still have a few pressies i need to finish before i send a huge parcel away to norway...but..

i am not enjoying the knitting..when i knitted the mystic water lace shawl. i made sure i enjoyed every bit..and that i wasn't in a hurry to finish, and lately i have again gone back to that: wanting to finish in a hurry so i can start on something new. i need to learn to enjoy my knits. do you know what i mean?To actually enjoy every little stitch, it was a god feeling:) and if i do that i am sure i will managed to finish those hats and be very happy with my results.

that's my thoughts of the day, ENJOY the knitting everyone!

calorimetry

just a real quckie here..i ought to get myself ready for taking my princess to the nursery,and i have to go down town ..need to get a few things for my advent calender swap, i need to send it pretty soon if she is to have it by dec 1st.

anyway, i finished my first calorimetry last week i just didn't get around to put if up here. i love it and have been using it almost every day. this will not be my last calorimetry ..oh no, not at all.

but..sorry this is ever so short..btw, before i go..still king cole mirage i have used:)

good afternoon everyone! i am taking advantage of nursery time (princess at nursery, me home alone) to update a bit. On saturday i finished this Gilmore vest, i have used New Lanark Wool, DK...it is absolutely lovely on, and i think vests or slipover will be something i will wear a bit more. i have never been much of a vest-user..but after this one..oh yes!

besides, this Gilmore vest is just reminding me of a tv series i used to watch when living in Norway..and i loved it..and have just recently found in on tv in uk..The Gilmore Girls,and my fave is Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore. as i watch the series over again now..i got several new ideas...vests and jumpers... So when i actuallty get around to make the "new" ideas i will let you know:)

but for now, i will try to finish the Calorimetry while watching Gilmore Girls(of course)!

headband

hello, everyone! how are you all doing? we are fine her in Scotland, but it's really cold out there. i am glad i am here in my lovey warm house....but only for a while.

It's almost time to go to the nursery, and last night i finished this headband.. and it's something i will wear myself, as well as my princess.

oh yes..my mobilephone stopped working, so now i had to find out how to upload photos...and i have. BUT of course..my camera is in need of a bit of batterycharging..and did i mention that i can't find the charger???

how annoying, so i have had to use my old digital camera..and the colours are't quite right, as this is supposed to be the same colour as the tuva hat that i knitted earlier. well, it wil be cheaper for me doing it this way compared to sending pics to my email. and i might even put some pictures of the suff i am actually doing, and not just the finished stuff:)

do i have time for a bit of knitting before i go..uuuuum, nope...need to get a few things done first..so i'll try to finish most of my gilmore vest tonight. i wanted to wear it tomorrow evening. we'll just have to see how well my hands behave tonight:)

it's another good morning in rainy scotland..i did promise you some waffles..so they are here you so help yourself..i would have had them ready made for you if you came over:)

now. i forgot to post about the wollies i made for Catriona. but here they are..i thikn they'll be rather nice to wear when it really gets cold and wet.

i have again used king Cole Mirage..this is the blueish one. i also started a new project even if i said i was going to finish some other stuff. but i am home alone this week..and i watch tv to make the evenings go..so no fbs for me until hubby is home. i started knitting the gilmore vest and will probably focus on this one and the baktus scarf as well. let's see how far i get.

i better get back to my daughter and her painting..and the tidying up..!

good afternoon everybody, how are you all? i hope you are as well as i am:)
we are back from London, all in one piece. it was a great weekend but a hard one. to say goodbye to littlesister :( but i know she'll have fun in OZ.i didn't get alot of knitting done, as i was traveling during the night both ways..but being home one day i have finished another christmas pressie, a hat for my dear Big Brother Terje. it's Turn a square pattern by Jared Flood and is a free ravelry download:)

i have probably mentioned that i have been using King Cole Mirage for this hat...once again i use this great King Cole Mirage..it's my absolute favourite:)

even if it does split at certain bits..i haven't found any knots and the colours are just fantastic!!

This week my plan is to finish a couple of projects i have been working on..so that in a few weeks i can buy some more wool and start some new projects! yippie for that..my list in revelry is still rather long;)

Hello, good morning and welcome to my little spot on the web! I hope you are fine, and that you have had a good week:) the weekend is here, what are your plans?

our plans are that when hubby comes home from work we'll be on our way to London.. 5-6 hours drive or so i think. atleast that's what hubby says..but i do think he's a bit....ehhhhh...speedy...!

nevermind, we'l get there when we get there. The picture above it what i have been knitting this week...it's a cowl and the name is Aibhlinn, and i love it...and it's not just because the last part is my name;) i have used noro cash iroha, and i love the feel of the finished project. but not my favourite to knit with..it's not bad, that's not what i am saying. it's nice, but i still have another fave!

now,. as we'll be leaving the house for a few days , i will of course have to bring some knitting along..and i will probably bring Catriona's woolies, a Baktus scarf and a hat i started on last night. i will have a few hours of kniting, and i need something simple due to the lack of daylight.
on sunday evening Catriona and i will take the bus home, and we'll arrive in Scotland monday morning. i am guessing i'll be knitting a bit on my way back too. I am excited, haven't been to london since 1999..and i hope i might be able to visit a wool shop sometime on Saturday;) if hubby is nice and willing..haha, we'll see.

when i come home..Nan, watch out...i'll be down during the week..i reckon i will have used all my king cole by then;)

And a good morning to you all, i am sitting here with my morningcoffee... and i am so happy! the Marius is finished, and it fits just perfect. i have really worked hard to finish these last two days. last night the second sleeve was in place, and then i had to fasten all those "millions and catrillions " of ends. now that is another job i hate to do! but at 23.00 last night i got my hubby to take the photo, me;very eager to show off.

i can not really believe it, it's done, and i can wear it!!!!!! and if the hubby remembers that i am going to glasgow knit n stitch on sunday..well i will be wearing it be sure

scarf

hello there and welcome to my little space! i hope you are all doing great:)

it feels as if i haven't updated for some time now, but i have finally finished another christmas present...things has been going rather slow lately. For this scarf i have once again used KingCole Mirage.
the pattern is a triangle scarf, but i can't actually find a link to it. and by the way...If you wonder about those stumps of wool on the ends of the scarf...i can't find any scissors..but i have fastened them and they are ready to be cut off.

i really need to tell you about my jumper..the marius one..i did encounter some problems...the sewing machine i was supposed to borrow from my mother in law..well, it didn't quite work, and none of the sewing ladies down town wanted to sew anything that has wool in it..so i have had to sew by hand...yikes!!! so one sleeve is finished and actually sewn on, but the other is only halfway..so if i really get a move on...i COULD finish the sewing tonight..but i'm not sure...i really hate sewing.

now, i don't mean sewing with wool, this is a tiny blue sewing thread..blah!!!!i have sewn both shoulders together though,,so not much left. i will have it done by next weekend! YES i will.

and i better, because the scottish weather is getting colder, i have found all my hats, scarves and mittens from last winter. today it's pouring down out there, and because i don't have any wellies, i know i'll get soaked, but my neck will be warm atleast, it's rather foggy out there too.

i better go and plan the next present i am going to make.

christmas present

good afternoon everyone..yes i do have another update. i was told just the other day that i have such a huge production..do i? i feel it's all to slow, and that i knit and i knit and i knit..and still it takes ages for things to finish.

i think it might have something to do with the fact that i knit lots of things at the same time..and then all of a sudden lots of things are finished at the same time.

this shrug is for my mother-in -law, so this is another christmas present done. one persom less to think about. and we are heading towards christmas a bit too fast for my liking. i am not prepared or ready for october and christmas things in the shops, are you?

about the shrug..it's my own pattern, but i think i might have to knit another one to make sure i have the pattern written (properly)..and then i will share with you:)

tried to make a hat

yes my dear friends, i have tried to make a hat, and this is the result. the plan was to make it using this pattern...but then i remembered...this hat is for irenesol's project...hats for ladies with cancer..and i guess lots of holes in the hat isn't the right ting....so i ended up with this hat instead...which i love. it's made with king cole mirage dk..and i absolutely love the feeling of this wool. i have lots left of it..and will make another hat for Catriona and one for myself too;)

that's how much i love it, and the real tuva hat is an easy knit..i did this one in an evening, and i could make another couple just as fast.

oh ladies, i do have an update on my marius jumper....now i need to put the pieces together..because i have finished!!! well, you know i will do the steeking, then i have to sew the sleeves in and also join the shoulders..and then i kan knit the neck bit. and THEN it's finished. i have asked my mother in law if i can use her sewing machine, and i hope i can do so next week.

that's why i am knitting these smaller projects. i have started knitting a scarf for my uncle..and it's not a double knitted scarf..it's one of these triangular scarves...the ones that nan has all over her shop..people in glasgow..you know which one it is?

well, i just realise..its way past lunchtime, and if am going to get catriona to nursery on time..i better get a move on.

it's saturday morning, i haven't even had my cup of coffee yet...! but this is so important, well, if i don't blog it now it will have to wait until monday..that's how it is when the hubby occupies the laptop.

this is my finished Baktus scarf, a christmas pressie for my auntie Birgit. the colour is wine red really and i think it's Elle sockwool....am not certain though. it's a while since i bought it.

i don't have any big plans today, just catriona that's going to her dancing and then we'll go shopping. i do have some eating plans this week, as i am going to Weight Watchers, i have switched to core for any of you that knows about it. so it'll be a challenge trying something new.

i will of course continue on finishing my Marius and my m-i-l's shrug...am even thinking that i want to keep it for myself...we'll see;)

hi and good afternoon everyone. i hope you are having a great day. today i have been really lucky, when Catriona was at nursery i went down town to buy odds and ends..and then i decided to have a look in a charity shop, and what did i find..wool..so i decided to get it..

i have never seen any wool in any charity shop before..and as my lys is closed on a tuesday..well..i got all of this for £5.60, about 56 norwegian kroner. i was ever so happy as i walked back to the nursery to pick up the princess.even the nursery teacher Mrs.Robinson thought it was a good deal. it's just pure luck...! hurrah...!!!

oh, update...i have finished both sleeves on the marius, will now finish the last bits on it:) and then put it together.

good morning, i hope you are having a great start of the week. I have finally managed to upload a picture of my loveknow shawl that i finished a week ago or so. it's really airy and feels good now that it's not that cold ..yet!

i have been really busy this weekend, i was on a course the whole saturday, and will be doing the same thing next saturday. it's taking time from my knitting:(
since my hubby is "babysitting" the whole saturday, it just doesn't feel right that i go away on the sunday for my knitting meetup...so another few weeks until i am back ladies!

I must admit, i am busy knitting as well...am desperately trying to get halfway on my x-mas pressie for my auntie..a baktus scarf but it just seems to go on forever. I feel the same with the second sleeve on my Marius...it just goes on and on and on...but i really need to finish it soon. the weather in Scotland is changing, it is already getting colder, and i just remembered that i need to get on with woollies for my daughter...so that'll be the next project on the needle..but not until i am done with the marius..! wish me luck.

i must admit i never thought i'd be back this soon, but indeed i am:) and i am very happy about that.

so..i did go to my lys for some more wool, and i found this...Rowan silk wool dk , the colour is called porcelain. and i had already planned on making these, the emerald green handwarmers
and i found out that they are SO easy to make..and as this is a chrismas present for my sister-in-law to be-Nancy..i want a pair for myself. next time i'm at Glasgow knit and stitch, i will try to make a pair;) hopefully i'll get the time..unless i blether to much that is.

And i seem to remember somthing about a lace project...and that i was going to update you on that...weeeeeell: After making these green handwarmers, i did start. i have made a start on the Flower Basket Shawl. I have had the pattern for ages, and now i have started. seems fairly easy to do, so far:)
I have no idea when i will have it finished. but for the Marius i am making, i have nearly finished the first arm. when the second arm is finished i will finish the body bit. only the top to do on it anyway!

oh another thing...we've had summer holidays for nearly two months, and the kids are back at the nursery for two days..and today there's a strike...Great!!! not...so we're at home today, and we're bored!

good evening everyone, the day is nearly over, only one more hour left of today, and in Norway it's actually midnight. i hope you all will have a great week, and that you really enjoy yourselves.

i have had this little neckwarmer project on the needles, and i finished it today and i figured i might as well put it in the blog now, because i won't have time tomorrow...i'm am SO going to my lys for some wool. now that i finished one project, i might as well start another one!!

it will be something lacy, just need to figure out what!!! i already know what wool to use..jamieson's of shetland and the colour is very pale lilac. i will let you know what i decide...

Here you can see the newly finished baby blanket for little baby Lise, she's must be close to one month old by now. I adore the colours, and i hope the mum likes it too! in a few days it will be on it's way to Belgium where baby Lise lives with her mum, dad and two brothers:) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

now, about my other things on the go...when i finished the blanket i immidiately started knitting a neckwarmer for myself. i am usinn Viking Frøyagarn. i love it to bits, and i think i will use this neckwarmer alot!!! I bought it at Karmin a huge lovely shop in my hometown Kristiansand. next time i am there, i will definetly get some more of this viking garn!!

about my absolutely lovely holiday "at home" , we did so much, went to the Kristiansand Zoo

and amusementpark, went boating, went on Hamresanden beach, went for a swim in the pool, had bbq's, went to our holiday house(hytte) in Eiken and stayed over one night. ..the only bad thing was that my brother had to leave for China/Beijing to work. he left on monday and we had arrived only on saturday, he returned on friday morning, and we went back to scotland on saturday at noon. we got to see him a bit atleast. and the greatest news this sumer is that he is engaged to be married to the lovely Nancy:) I am hoping to hear a weddingdate soon guys!!!

i am back in the crafting world. i had an absolute great time while being in Norway..but can you imagine i have had two weeks of no knitting nor crochet?

the last few days i have been busy knitting my marius, and someone asked for a photo to show how much i have done..so as you can see, have started on the border.

i am very excited about the fact that i will try steeking for the first time ever. It has been my grandmother that has done this for me earlier..but i don't live close to her anymore..so i need to be able to do this on my own.

Good morning everyone, how are you all doing? i have had a good morning with a cup of coffee and trying to get a decent photo of my finished crossover cardigan...BUT my arms just aren't long enough so you'll just see a bit of it.

i am really happy with it, and it really keeps me warm:)

i have had a really grea weekend...first we did lots of gardening, and it felt soooo good to have a lawn again..and not tall grass!!

my arms were hmmm, well not allright after that, but i did manage to get quite a bit of knitting done on saturday eve:)

sunday it was Tramway to have a chat with the ladies. we were quite a few, and it was nice to meet several new people there..! unfortunetely i won't be abe to meet up with them until august..when we come home from our holiday in Norway.

another...12 days to go. i have already started packing some things. and today is the big tidy-up day..so what on earth am i doing blogging?

before i go, i have to mention my new projecs. first it's the Marius and i'm almost up to the pattern border. i's almost as if i can't wait for the cold winter just so i can use it.

i do want some summer first anyway!

twirly scarf 2

hello everyone and good morning! i hope you have had a good weekend so far, me i have been good indeed. as you can see i have finished the secong twirly scarf. this one is for mother-in-law, for her birthday in November and i think this is something she might well like.

This everyone, is the lovely present that Nan and David at my lys gave me for my birthday .

i still haven't decided what to use it for..but i am sure something good will come out of it! maybe a wisp? i did want to make one for myself...i am not sure, anyone with a good idea?

About my crossover cardigan, it's not much to do now...i am almost finished with the first sleeve, and have done half of the lace insert of the secon sleeve. this lace pattern is rather boring...so when i get fed up i knit my Marius genser. I have actually finishied nearly half of the body part..and i am still not fed up with knit, purl, knit, purl, knit, purl...so far so good!

actually, it feels great to knit something and not be fed up with it. next week i will finish my crossover and then you can all see the picture:)

As ou all know by now, it has just been my birthday and after our shopping on saturday my husband was soooo nice and made a stop at Stitching Time for me to buy some more wool ...and there in the shop were two pressies awaiting me....this lovely green/turquise Araucania Ranco was from mhairi ...!!! Thank you sooooo much! and Nan and David had a pressie for me too..now unfortunately my mobilephone ran out of credit..so I can't show you the picture of the two balls of Kidsilk Haze and the Addi laceneedles they gave me. i am shocked, i didn't expect anything really(well, maybe as much as Happy birthday Linn) ..but this was just amazing!

and i guess this is not the end..my husband ordered some New Lanark wool as a pressie too so that i can knit my Marius Genser...and i hope it will arrive in the week. can't wait!

about things I am actually doing, i have finished the back of the crossover, and have started on the sleeves..just started. will do some more tonight:)

i really must get some credit on my phone soon, because i am sure i will have even more to show you..and when i do get credit, be sure i wil show you that pressie too:)

today is going to be a day of housework(although i would have liked to knit all day long)so i guess i better get started!

school scarf

good morning everyone, and thank you so much for all you birthdaywishes. so far it has been a good day:)
my lovely daughter has modeled for the scarf i finished last night, and now she is making birthdaycards for me:) such a cutie!

oh, and just now my granny phoned me to with me happy birthday!

well well, anyway, last night i managed to finally finish this scarf, it's for my friend and it's kind of a christmaspresent...well, she has decided she doesn't want to celebrate christmas so she will get it as a 3 wedding anniversary present a few days before christmas(her hubby will get a scarf too).
i call it a school scarf,as someone from hobbyboden were talking about the scarves they made at school and explained how they did it.

Some ladies at the glasgow knit and stitch might recognise it as "the tube"...yes it did look like a really weird thing to knit....but i love the finished result...and it took me a whole hour to unravel the stitches(i dropped every second stitch).
i want to make one of these for myself as well...i have fallen in love with it!!!

but first...finish the cardigan...! will see you tomorrow or saturday Nan!!

so i found this cotton that i hadn't used yet...i got it from the swap at the tramway earlier this year(glasgow knit'n stitch i think it might have been Fiona that wanted rid of this...this hat was done in two evenings and i will try to sew a couple of flowers on aventually:) i really like it and i am sure we'll use it lots this summer....!

i need more wool to finish the back of my crossover cardigan, and i have to wait until tomorrow as my shop is closed on a sunday.there are promises of going to the park today anyway..so i a m sure i will be busy.

i can always continue on my "ever so boring scarf" tonight anyway:) oh i also have my crocheted tablecloth too!

well, off to have the morning coffee...can't be without it..besided hubby is up soon and he'd want the laptop anyway..see you next week or so!

HELLO EVERYONE,
how are you all doing?
me, i am so happy because i have finally attached the mermaid to the blanket, and now it's finished...more or less. i have plans to add some golden fish and jellyfish and a couple of startfish..but not in the nearest future..
i am a bit fed up with this blanket now..although it does look nice in the wee girl's bedroom:)
and i think she likes it alot too!! and i guess that is the main point, isn't it?


i can fully concentrate on knitting my cardigan.
i have knitted almost half of the back...now i just need to get more wool.

i have decided,..i definetly prefer knitting in the round!! i do believe my next project will be a mariusgenser knitted with new lanark wool!! i just dicovered it..i do believe it was nursery teacher Mrs. Robinson that told me about it...


well that's all from me , i am housebound today..waiting for the fidgerepair man...and he seems to never get here..blah!

thursday morning

hello everyone, and good morrow to you. i hope you are all doing well and have time to sit and relax for a few moments.

i don't have anything to show you at all today but because i am so excited about this crossover cardigan i am knitting, just knowing that i might finish the right front tonight made me want to update you about that fact.

i still have the back and the sleeves to finish so i won't be ready until july sometime:) but hopefully i will be able to wear it when we are on holiday in Norway in late july.Iknow it's kinda sad being so happy with a piece of knitting, but this will in fact be my fist piece of clothing that i have knitted using a pattern..except the shawl i made earlier. i am not thinking about socks either...but a cardigan or top or something to wear...that's why i just can't wait to put it on:)

well. i guess i need to get on with the knitting if that is going to happen..but no knitting just now..i need to have my cup of coffee first and then continuing doing housework and maybe read a bit for catriona dn perhaps sing a few songs with her before nursery this afternoon.

might just finish up that fishblanket too soon...hmmm must do it -maybe tomorrow..have a nice day everyone!

christmas

hello everyone,
are you preparing for christmas yet?i know it#s far away still, but last year i was nearly knitting my hands off in December trying to finish the pressies. so this year i have decided on being a good girl and start early. i have finished a twirly scarf for my sister-in -law and i loved making it..but i must admit, it used a lot more wool then i ever imagined. I will definetly make more of them though.

i have been really busy this week, and not done any knitting at all..the danceschool is having a dance-show every 18 months, and now it's time for this years show. so every night this week i have been away dancing, and tonight (Same as thuesday) my 4 years old daughter is coming with me to dance. she is in 4 dances..it will be a late night though...she might be in bed at 11.00(23.00) and normally she's in bed at 7-7.30(19.00-19.30)..hope she'll cope...

wish us luck!!

i will be so happy when tonight is over, because then i can get on with my knitting again! hurray! can#t wait to finish the left front of my cross over cardigan:)

fish

hello everyone, i hope you all have had a nice weekend. we have been busy with our new aquarium and trying to keep the last goldfish alive during this cycling of the filter. and talking about fish...

i have been knitting fish for Catriona's fishblanket, and now i have only 15 left until i am finished. i am hoping that in another week or so i will start to sew on a few things on it...i do have a plan and i am sure it will end up pretty cool.

i will not be back here until i have finished it, i am not knitting anything else right now..everything is waiting until i am done.
when i am done, my first project will be to knit a pair of socks and then a summertop for myself. i will also finish the scarf for merethe.

by the time i have come that far i am sure we'll be in the middle of july and we'll hopefully go to Norway for a holiday:) can't wait.

oh i forgot to mention that next Saturday we'll be in Edingburgh to take part in the celebration on 17th of May, the norwegian constitutional day! now THAT i can't wait for. our car is at the garage to get fixed so i hope we'll have it back by then!

secret friend for april

i am so ashamed:( i have forgotten to show you the picture of the pressie i got from my secret friend at hobbyboden. haven't decided how i will use the wool, the tea is looong gone, and my oh my was it fab!!! will knit some winter hats after the summer..now that i have such lovely patterns...and as i am trying to lose weight..i have only had 2 squares of the chocolate...

i was supposed to be the the "spring fling" with glasgow knit and stitch this weekend, but i couldn't make it(hubby working, and needing to get stuff for the aquarium the wee one was given to her 4th b-day by her granny)...so i missed it:( and i had a flower ready and all..well nevermind...maybe next year??

hoping to get on with my knitting soon, have not really been doing anything for a week..but tonight i hope to get a couple of fish ready:) i want to finish this fish blankie...it's for the wall really. so hopefully i'll have something to show you in a few weeks:)

la fantasien raade 6

this is the fantasy-along at hobbyboden. we had to make something inspired by a fairytale called "kong trosteskjegg" i think it was. (king "some-kind-of-bird-and -i don't -know-the-english-word" beard).

and it's my daughters 4th bday in the end of this week, so i got her name on it too,. there is also a butterfly on the bottom, but i couldn't get in on the picture. she seems happy, eh?

UFO

DEAR people,
here is my UFO, i said i would post about it. i started this at some time ago when i went to university( agder universitet)and i think i graduated in 2001 ..and i think i started this in year 2..so that makes this cross stitch 8 years old. it takes absolutely ages to do, but maybe i will finish it in 2009...i try to do a bit inbetween all my knitting.
it will end up as AMOR, but sorry i have no picture of it as finished anymore, but one day i will show you the finished picture. will update you on how this turns out in maybe a month or so..depending on how much a get done of course.

april is pink

april is pink, and this is my pink for this month. it isn't much but works wonderfully well. a little hairband that i made before the nursery...and she actually likes it. now that is success!!
did i ever mention how my eyes has been opened to crochet?? well, i do quite enjoy it really:)

i made a dishcloth just the other day! i love it and will probably knit more of these. actually this one is for my 4 years old daughter so she can help me clean the table after dinner;) she was very happy to help

march socks

heey everyone,
i have finally managed to put a picture of my socks here on my blog...first my phone needed a top up, and then i couldn't find the first sock i knitted...oh joy! well i found it this morning.where was it again...?oh yes, down the side of the sofa...happens alot.. :(

well, now i shall try to finish my clue 2 of sots -ii, but i will be back with a few more FO's later this week! and not to mention the ufo i have had for ages..i have probably mentioned it before, but you will all get to actually see it:)

i feel that is has been ages since i have been in with anything new...and i have some finished stuff to show youall, but i need to top up my mobile phone to send some pics. i am a mobile phone blogger you know. in a few days i am sure i will be back with pics of my circle socks, and the pentagon baby blanket that will be going to iceland:).

i am currently working on the "fantasialong" that has to be finished by 15 th of april..and i am about halfway, so i think i will manage to do it in time.

oh, by the way..i have this great idea for a scarf, and will start working on it after the april socks and the fantasialong are finished.

this sunday i amhoping i can join Glasgow knit n stitch again, it has been a long time since i was there...need to have a chat with the hubby. do you think i can talk him into taking me there and watching our daughter if i clean the whole house this week?

As it's eastertime..the nursery has a easter bonnet parade, and i crocheted two flowers to go on her hat(did i mention the nursery girl has been ill with a fever since yesterday and wont actually make the parade).

i think the flowers are so cute, and i know now what flower to make for the knit'n stitch group:) it was really to make and i am so happy withthem. the pattern is SkaMama's.
and one flower is yellow, because March is a yellow month!

did i mention that i am getting a bit bored with my fishblanket? atleast i am getting the mermaid together.. i know it will be really nice when i am, finished...but until then i just have to keep going!

This lovely hat is called Robin's egg blue hat
and it took me ony one evening to knit it. i absolutely adore it..i used Lang soft Shetland for this. i just need to get a button that fits nicely:) so a big thank's you to two lovely ladies at hobbyboden that finds these fab patterns for us:)

i have no other projects near the finishing..so I guess i will be busy knitting the next week. i am still so in love with knittin, it's almost crazy! there are still so much i want to make..and i guess the more i actually sit down the more i'll be able to crate;)

i have finished my mystic water shawl. i was knitting and knitting, and the finishing took ages..well over an hour to do it, but i am very happy with it. it's has not been blocked yet, nor has the ends been sewn in, but i like it. it will probably be a bit bigger than on this bad picture..and it's my 4 years old daughter "modeling"the shawl..and she's big for her age!

Next project is to knit the march socks, march hat and continue a few other projects(sots-ii, sss). i have also started up knitting fish for the fish blanket, and i am going to have it done by june, so i better get on with that too. i am so happy about finihing up mw..i think i started it in october or november...!

almost finished

it's monday, and today i have only two rows left of my mystic water shawl. i am going to finish tonight..then i am off to do the finishing:) can't wait to wear it, and this is perfect because today it's snowing..and it's lying on the group..it's white outside and it has been since this morning. and it's actually snowing as i write. imagine if i could wear it tomorow goingto the nursery..! that would be soooo great!!!

i have been at my LYS today, got some more sock yarn..i have the march socks (circle socks )to knit whne mw is done..and also a hat to start! it really feels so great to have so little left to do on a shawl i have been working on for several months now!

will of course be back with pics when i have it done!!

finally

these are my february socks, i have finaly gotten around to putting them on my blog..well.i was lucky and had one extra day in february, if i hadn't had that i wouldn't have finished in time!

my next project is to finish my Mystic Water shawl..i have only 4 rows left..and the the finishing instructions..hopefully ill be able to locate them somewhere;)

i have many plans coming up among others the blanket i mentioned earlier, and also a dress, will tell you more about it when it's not this early in the morning, and when i haven't had a child singing and talking in my ears when i want to sleep... i am so tired!!!
