June has started

It is officially June, which is also my birthday month. 
The good news is, that since I wrote a few days ago, I have had some success.

Yesterday I don't usually have any breakfast, apart from a cup of coffee with cream in it.
 I had beef sausages for lunch, then we went walking in a shopping centre near Glasgow for a few hours. Not for shopping, just for walking. This is Scotland, it rains a lot. 

I did have a peach matcha to drink, the sirup was mostly in the bottom, so I didn't really have much of that. 

At home, I made enchiladas and also had 4 twirls of Takis crisps. Somehow they weren't too spicy this time round.

I also had half a glass of salt water, to make sure I don't end up with headaches. 

The result of yesterday, on my scales this morning, I am 0.7 kilos down. That is really great. 

The plan for today is to head for the swimming pool, and go swimming for the first time since last summer.
I did say this are changing. 
Things are changing. For sure. 

This is today's update. Wish me luck this week. The first proper week is always the most difficult, but when I know I'll be updating here, is makes me feel accountable. And that's what I need.

What's going on?

The days go by, life seems to stand still. Nothing is happening, 
Still, somehow life goes on without me noticing. 

I am an an age where my body is telling me to change a few things. I cannot continue the same way as if I'm still 25.

Over the last 10 years, my weight has gone up and my health slowly deteriorating.
Today, on the May 30, I pledge to change my ways. 
I am applying a change on my life, and I believe that I will find that I have more energy and more room to live in my life as I change things for the better.

I have been merely existing and trying to survive through the working day. 

No more.
Everything changes now, today. 
My plan is to update here, try out things and talk about the results. 

I hope to see some sort of result, and perhaps his journey of mine can be of inspiration and help for someone else. 

I will find it hard, and it's likely that I'll mess up... Often. But I will continue.

March already?

How did we get here so quickly? 
I thought that January lasted forever, when we were only half way through, I felt it should have been the end of the month. 
Then we have February, it literally flew by and now it's already March 2. 

After several years of having a muddled up mind, things feel clearer. 
I have several goals to work towards, one of these goals is minimalism. 

I will probably never be a minimalist in the way that some people are thinking. But I want to be happy with the things I surround myself with, and I don't want to have too many things, including books. I want to hold on to the ones I really love. Going forward, i will try to mention the books I will hold on to, and which I'm not. 

I hope to make some changes in my life, and I do plan to share them here on the blog.
