280 g

Just a wee reminder to myself here...as I haven't taken any photos yet...the Sitteunderlag that I finished the other day weight 280 g...and that's my start in reducing the wool I have in the house that doesn't have a specific plan...! It will all be used, and I have started my wool diet, also known as Smaaslanking.!

Picknit in Glasgow

I was in Glasgow yesterday, meeting up with the Glasgow Picknitters, Jessica and Casey from Ravelry and Ysolda Teague. We were between 80 and 90 knitters I was told. I had a marvellous day!!

Here are some photos...! First we went for a little trip to The Clockwork Orange..(the Glasgow underground)
Gloria winding some wool on the Glasgow underground

The picknit boss Johanna and the "boy-knitter"..I have no idea what his name was...

We were 12-ish knitters on board..including my 6 years old daughter:)

The two "boy-knitters" as Johanna called them...

Back by the Kibble Palace, I met several people I knew..here's Alice:)

Casey dished out Pimms, Jessica Strawberries and we got lots of cake..!

And this is me...in among all the knitters..it was one of the warmest days in July, so I found it slightly difficult to knit a winter shawl...! Had fun though

My 6 years old daughter taking overYsolda's blanket;) and helping to hand out Ravelry badges

Solveig the kitten

I am sure I did say pomething about posting pictures of our kitten, she was born on June 5th,so by now she is nine weeks old, and we have had her over a week already.
She is such a cutie, and she talks alot too...and her personality is getting bigger and bigger by the day, just as it should I guess.
Here she is:

SOLVEIG

Here she is 8 weeks old, same day that we got her home

Here you can see her stripey body
Solveig is attacking the toy kitten:) and could it be the daughters socks that has been dragged under the table too??

Who enjoys a litte sun? Yes, she is a sunloving cat, might have to buy one of those radioator cat beds;)

Ahhhh, our beautiful Solveig

Another one

I have been busy these last few weeks, trying to finish a couple of things that I have been working on for some time now. When will I learn to knit or crochet one thing at a time???

I am hoping that the last part of 2010 is when I will start on that partucular thing. Working on one thing at a time!
Wish me luck!!

The first Christmas Present is finished...and here it is..I will not tell who it's for, but it's for a family member;)

I have used King Cole Mirage, and 4.0 mm circular needles.
Fairly happy with it, but I wish I had enough patience to do one more repetition. Nevermind..it's finished now, and would like to make on for myself as well...But for now.....Finish what I am doing!!
Princess showing off the shawl

And her you can truly see the colours, I do love this one, we (Nan and I atleast)call it thew Noro coulored King Cole.

Did I evermentionthat King Cole has some new colours? I haven't had a proper look at them, but they looked NICE, so when school starts up again, I'll be down to my LYS to have a better look.
Can't wait!!

Oh...I guess I forgot to tell you  that we have a new family member

A little tortoise coloured kitten, her name is SOLVEIG and she is 8 weeks old.
Pictures coming soon!
