Middle of March

We are nearly on the day that marks half way through the month of March, and goodness how the days have flown by, as usual.

It feels like the older I get that faster the days go by. I am pretty certain most people feel the same.

Since I was here last, we have gotten a new bed, a new mattress and finally I am sleeping through the whole night and I'm not waking up with a sore back every morning.

We have been to the local recycling centre with all our rubbish, we also donated stuff to our favourite charity shop, The Magpie's Eye in Glasgow.

As you understand, I am trying to make changes that will last, and implementing changes can be difficult but I am ready to do the work.
I have reorganised the kitchen this morning, moved the fridge and the kitchen table. hopefully this will be a help in trying to keep it more organised going forward.
Here in Scotland, homes are fairly small, and that is a challenge in itself.

Due to not having a loft/attic space, not a garage and not even a garden hut/shed , I have over the years become good at not keeping stuff.

It doesn't mean that I am where I want to be in regards to the stuff I have, here's a selection of some washi tapes I will use over the next few weeks and months. I do have more tapes, but the are behind a stack of notebooks, so they will have to wait for another time.

Ginette B mentioned habit stacking, how that could be halpful. I agree, I am just reading a book about minimalism and this book also mentions habit stacking. I have of course also come across this in James Clear's book Atomic habits

I admit, I haven't actually finished reading this book but it is definitely on my reading list for 2026.

There are many books on my reading list for 2026, at the moment I am reading three books.

  1. Low Carb in the UK, by Nikola Howard
  2. Having a Mary heart in a Martha world
  3. Pollyanna
I have also joined Bible in 365 and I am reading through the Bible with Mrs. E. Kirk this year. I am a week behind schedule, but I will try and catch up these next weeks.

For the rest of today, I am trying to tidy up the kitchen after all the changes I just made, totally chaos at the moment. I just wanted to come on here, and they to be more here.

There's a few more projects on the horizon for me, I will share these with you another time.
Happy Wednesday.
Love Linn
